Chappell Roan Launches Midwest Princess Project With $400,000 for Trans Youth Support

The artist funnels show-driven donations through a fiscally sponsored fund to local groups serving trans youth.

Overview

  • The initiative debuted Oct. 23 with more than $400,000 raised from her Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things pop-up shows and related activations.
  • $1 from each ticket on an eight-date run in New York, Los Angeles and Kansas City contributed to the fund, alongside partner efforts with Propeller and eBay and additional donations.
  • Initial beneficiaries are six organizations: Ali Forney Center and The LGBT Center in New York City; Trans Wellness Center and TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles; and The GLO Center and The Center Project in Missouri.
  • Donations are accepted via a GiveButter page, and the project operates under fiscal sponsorship from the Catalyst Philanthropy Fund to enable tax-deductible gifts.
  • Roan pledged to donate every dollar possible to the named groups after transaction fees and minimal management costs, extending her public advocacy into sustained, local giving.
