• The six-part adaptation of John Galsworthy’s novels debuts Monday 20 October at 9pm on Channel 5.
• Gibson plays Irene Heron opposite Joshua Orpin’s Soames, joined by Jack Davenport, Eleanor Tomlinson, Tuppence Middleton and Francesca Annis.
• At the launch event, Gibson said the job came at a very needed time and that she fell completely in love with the cast and crew.
• Two series have already been filmed, with cast members describing long summer shoots in tight period costumes as especially demanding.
