Channel 4 has released first-look images of Harriet Walter as Margaret Thatcher and Steve Coogan as Brian Walden in the upcoming drama 'Brian and Margaret'.
The series is based on Rob Burley's book 'Why is This Lying B*sta*d Lying to Me?' and is written by James Graham, known for 'Sherwood'.
Directed by Stephen Frears, the drama will focus on Thatcher's last TV interview in 1989, a pivotal moment that contributed to her resignation.
The show is produced by Baby Cow Productions and is set to air in 2025, following Coogan's recent roles in 'The Reckoning' and 'Joker: Folie à Deux'.
Executive producers include Sarah Monteith, Delyth Scudamore, and Rupert Majendie, with BBC Studios handling international sales.
