- The special marks Hollyoaks’ 30th anniversary and will air on Channel 4 in October.
- Cameras will roll in September on the original West Derby cul-de-sac with residents’ approval, coordinated with the Liverpool Film Office.
- It will be the first on-screen return to Brookside Close since the 2003 finale when Jimmy Corkhill changed the sign to “Brookside Closed.”
- Executive producer Hannah Cheers describes the episode as a tribute to both soaps, with writer Steve Hughes updating legacy characters for today.
- Digitally restored Brookside episodes are available from the start on STV Player following a project by Lime Pictures and All3Media International.
