Channel 4 Appoints Priya Dogra as Chief Executive, Starting March 2026

Her March 2026 start follows an eight-month search led by chair Geoff Cooper to drive a faster pivot to digital revenue.

  • Jonathan Allan will continue as interim chief executive until Dogra joins in March 2026.
  • Dogra currently leads advertising, data and new revenue at Sky after roughly 14–15 years at Warner Bros Discovery, where she rose to EMEA president and managing director.
  • She will be Channel 4’s second female chief executive and the broadcaster’s eighth overall.
  • The tightly managed recruitment, run with Spencer Stuart, considered finalists including Allan and former BritBox chief Reemah Sakaan, while Netflix executive Emma Lloyd withdrew.
  • Channel 4 has set out a digital-first plan through 2030 that includes moving into in-house production under the Media Act 2024 and launching a Creative Investment Fund.
