Chanel to Sponsor Historic Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race

The luxury brand's first sports sponsorship will rename the event to the Chanel J12 Boat Race, starting in 2025.

Chanel will replace cryptocurrency firm Gemini as the sponsor and official timekeeper of the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race.
The partnership is set to last until at least 2029, coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the men's race and the 100th of the women's race.
The rebranded Chanel J12 Boat Race will take place on April 13, 2025, along the River Thames in London.
The historic race attracts over 250,000 spectators in person and millions more via global television broadcasts.
Chanel's involvement marks its first entry into sports sponsorship, aligning with its founder's sporting heritage.
