Mohan Majhi and Chandrababu Naidu to be Sworn in as Chief Ministers

Majhi's swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP officials, highlighting the central government's support for the new administration. The event also marked a moment of political civility, as Majhi extended an invitation to Patnaik, the former Chief Minister, to attend the ceremony, which Patnaik indicated he would do. Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), was sworn in for his fourth term as Chief Minister. Naidu's return to power comes after a decisive victory in the recent elections, where the TDP, in alliance with the BJP and Janasena, secured 164 out of 175 assembly seats. This victory ousted the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had been in power since 2019.

Naidu's swearing-in ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Modi, along with other high-ranking officials, emphasizing the BJP's influence in regional politics. In his address, Naidu pledged to develop Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh and assured that there would be "no space for any kind of unrest" during his administration. His previous terms have been marked by significant economic reforms and infrastructure development, and he aims to continue this trajectory.
