Champions League League-Phase Draw Tonight in Monaco Sets Up 2025–26 Under Swiss-Model Format

UEFA will assign eight opponents per club using coefficient pots and country caps.

Overview

  • Thirty-six teams will be drawn via automated software to face two opponents from each of four pots, with no same‑nation pairings and a limit of two opponents from any single country.
  • A record six Premier League clubs—Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle—feature in the field under the new format’s second season.
  • The full seeding pots are confirmed, with top seeds including PSG, Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern, Liverpool, Inter, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona; Arsenal are in Pot 2, Tottenham in Pot 3 and Newcastle in Pot 4.
  • TNT Sports will show the draw live in the UK and UEFA will stream globally, while UK match coverage this season is led by TNT with selected games on Amazon Prime.
  • The league phase runs from 16–18 September through 28 January, followed by February play‑offs and knockouts to a 30 May 2026 final in Budapest, with the total prize pool reported at about €2.47bn.
