Chainlink Labs Joins WEMADE’s KRW Stablecoin Alliance to Power Regulated Infrastructure

The move brings institutional-grade infrastructure to Korea’s push for regulated KRW stablecoins.

Overview

  • Announced on January 27, 2026, Chainlink Labs joined WEMADE’s Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin (GAKS) to support won-backed digital currencies.
  • Chainlink will provide secure data feeds, cross-chain interoperability via CCIP, and compliance and privacy tooling for regulated issuers.
  • Launched in November 2025, GAKS now spans security, analytics, fintech, and oracle capabilities with members including Chainalysis, CertiK, and SentBe.
  • The alliance is designed to enable payments, cross-border settlement, and tokenized asset use cases under South Korea’s strict reserve and redemption standards set in 2025.
