  • Chacra Los Retamos of El Hoyo, Chubut, received the top honor for an alfajor made with harina de nuez, a dulce de leche filling and a white chocolate coating.
  • El Barrigón Chingolo won gold in the Mejor Alfajor Triple category and silver in Mejor Alfajor Industrial for its triple black alfajor filled with dulce de leche and strawberry.
  • La Aldea was named Mejor Alfajor Tradicional Estilo Marplatense, while Alfajores Pehuen Co earned three podium finishes in Tradicional Estilo Marplatense, Glaseado and Textura categories.
  • The fourth Campeonato Mundial del Alfajor at Costa Salguero drew roughly 50,000 visitors, featured more than 120 exhibitors and included entries from Argentina, Uruguay, Perú, España, the United States and Paraguay.
