Overview
- Police detained Ricardo Ariel Osuna at his home in Resistencia just before midnight Friday and placed him in custody at Comisaría 11.
- The order was issued by María Emilia Rudaz of the Rural and Environmental Investigation Prosecutor’s Office following a local producer’s complaint.
- The operation was executed by the Dirección General de Seguridad Rural y Ambiental with support from the Departamento Rural Metropolitano and Investigaciones Complejas.
- Sources said Osuna indicated he would cooperate with authorities and underwent a medical exam before being formally notified of his arrest.
- In March, Osuna spent 41 days in custody in a similar case in La Leonesa, where investigators seized about 21 cattle and a Toyota registered to Emerenciano Sena and Marcela Acuña; the Sena family was convicted in November in the Cecilia Strzyzowski femicide.
