Chacarita President Calls Players 'Cagones,' Threatens Them Over Nightlife Conduct

The tirade follows a seven-match winless run that has put the club’s Reducido place in doubt with three rounds remaining.

Overview

  • Néstor Di Pierro attacked the squad on Mano a Mano Chacarita, saying they lack attitude and calling them “cagones” who “parecen señoritas de cabaret.”
  • He warned players to stay out of nightclubs, declaring “que no los enganche en un boliche porque les voy a romper la cabeza,” and criticized showy looks such as dyed hair and colored boots.
  • Chacarita lost 1–0 at home to Almirante Brown and sits eighth in Zona B on 48 points, with its Reducido berth at risk after seven games without a win.
  • Di Pierro argued the team has strong support structures in place, citing a psychologist, nutritionist, travel, hotels and salaries paid on time, yet said the problem is attitude.
  • The club switched from Juan Manuel Azconzábal to Carlos Mayor in August without a turnaround, and the team now prepares to visit Central Norte in Salta on Sunday.
