Overview

  • Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia and Texas Tech hold the top four in the next-to-last CFP rankings ahead of championship weekend.
  • Alabama moved to No. 9 ahead of No. 10 Notre Dame, a switch the committee chair said reflected recent evaluations, placing the Irish on the at-large cut line.
  • Ole Miss climbed to No. 6 and, despite Lane Kiffin’s departure, was not downgraded by the committee and would host a first-round game at current seeding.
