Overview
- At the morning update on Oct. 13, CFE reported power restored to 84.07% of 262,847 affected users in Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Veracruz.
- State recovery stands at San Luis Potosí 100%, Querétaro 97%, Veracruz 83%, Puebla 81% and Hidalgo 77%, with crews working to close remaining gaps.
- Severe rains and winds damaged 3 transmission lines, 2 transmission substations, 3 distribution substations, 48 transformers, 90 cable spans and 129 poles, and affected the Poza Rica combined-cycle plant and the La Venta, Minas and Cecilio del Valle hydros.
- CFE has deployed more than 380 electricians supported by 78 cranes, 90 pickups, 22 generators, 5 drones and 4 helicopters, with ATVs and backhoes used to reach flood- and landslide-damaged areas.
- The utility is coordinating with Sedena, the National Guard and Civil Protection, and it reports telecom service recovery at 27% across 58 affected municipalities, with 44 sites restored and 205 public internet points back online.
