CFE Relaunches ASI Program to Replace Old Appliances Through Electricity Bill Financing

Registration is open with applications validated within 48 hours for delivery and installation of certified energy-efficient appliances.

  • On July 14, CFE relaunched the Programa de Ahorro Sistemático Integral to let households replace appliances older than six years with certified energy-efficient models
  • Applicants now can register online, by calling 071 or in person at CFE customer service centers, with eligibility validated within 24 to 48 hours
  • Approved costs for new equipment are integrated into monthly electricity bills to eliminate large upfront payments
  • Eligible users must be the electricity contract holder with a domestic tariff, have three years of uninterrupted service without arrears, be of legal age, secure a guarantor and present official ID
  • The program’s catalog includes refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, solar water heaters, boilers, LED lamps and thermal insulation, with installations scheduled as applications are validated and savings tracked by CFE
