CFE Internet Lists Social-Media Unlimited Plans, Hotspot Rules and MiFi Options Starting at 95 Pesos

New plan details clarify that the social bundle works only in Mexico under fair-use limits registered with the IFT.

Overview

  • Packages that include the social bundle cover WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Facebook, X, Instagram and Snapchat.
  • Short- and monthly plans specify hotspot availability by offer, such as 3 GB for 7 days at 50 pesos with hotspot, 10 GB for 7 days at 60 pesos without, 3 GB monthly at 99 pesos with hotspot and 40 GB monthly at 230 pesos without.
  • CFE’s portable MiFi service sells data from 95 pesos per month, with the MiFi device available for about 1,145 pesos.
  • The 100 GB MiFi plan costs 995 pesos monthly or 5,300 pesos semestral or 10,290 pesos annual, includes no social bundle and operates at best-effort speeds without a fair-use throttle until the data is consumed.
  • Contracting requires checking coverage and device compatibility via IMEI, then choosing a SIM or eSIM for mobile service or purchasing a compatible MiFi modem.
