Cessna Citation Ascend Secures FAA Type Certification

Overview

• Textron Aviation announced the FAA type certificate for the new Citation Ascend, validating the jet’s design for the U.S. market.
• Two flight-test aircraft accumulated more than 1,000 hours to complete the certification program.
• Built in Wichita, the program has a production airframe already rolled out after the first unit emerged from the factory in September 2025.
