• He died at 2:15 a.m. on 27 August at the Hospice Cottolengo in Chieri following a respiratory illness.
• He had been transferred there a few days earlier from Turin’s Ospedale Gradenigo, a condition he chose to keep private.

• Nosiglia led the Turin archdiocese from 2010 to 2022 and served Susa as apostolic administrator from 2019 to 2022, and he was noted for grassroots ministry to workers, migrants and prisoners as well as for promoting Shroud of Turin ostensions, including during COVID and in 2015.
