CES 2026 Puts AI and Robotics on a Production Track

With 148,000 attendees, the show underscored AI’s move from showcase to real-world rollouts.

Overview

  • NVIDIA said its Vera Rubin AI supercomputing platform is now in production with deployments beginning this year, as it expands work with automakers and robotaxi firms and supplies Tesla’s data centers.
  • Hyundai stated a commercial Atlas-based humanoid is already in production and scheduled to begin operating in 2028 at its Georgia EV plant, highlighting robotics’ shift toward factory use; LG’s CLOiD home robot and Uber’s Lucid- and Nuro-developed robotaxi also advanced that theme.
  • Samsung’s Galaxy Trifold won CNET and the CTA’s Best of CES 2026, bringing a tri-fold phone that unfolds to a screen of up to 10 inches.
  • Consumer and repair advocates named “Worst in Show” picks targeting products they say raise privacy, surveillance and reparability concerns, including Samsung’s Bespoke AI Family Hub and Amazon’s Ring doorbell.
  • Beyond AI and robotics, exhibitors previewed Wi‑Fi 8 networking, Samsung’s glasses-free Spatial Signage, Withings smart health mirrors, and LEGO’s Smart Play ecosystem slated to debut in March.
