Overview
- The club and Caisse d’Épargne Provence Alpes Corse agreed on Thursday to rename the Vélodrome the “CEPAC Vélodrome” under a seven-year contract that takes effect on 2 July 2026 and runs through 2033.
- Both sides say the deal pays more than the previous Orange contract, which was estimated at about €2.45 million per season, but they have not disclosed the exact financial terms.
- CEPAC is a Marseille-rooted bank with roughly 40 years of ties to Olympique de Marseille as sponsor, banker and co-owner of the Prado headquarters, making this a locally based partnership.
- Club leaders present the seamless handover from Orange as a signal that OM remains commercially attractive during a period of sporting changes and while it awaits validation of its financial plan from the DNCG.
- CEPAC and OM note that fan use of the new name will be gradual and that the seven-year term is meant to give time for brand association while providing stable revenue that could support the club’s wider rebuilding efforts.
