Overview

• Special Gram Sabhas on October 2 will formally start the People’s Plan Campaign 2025–26 across all states and Union Territories.
• Additional Secretary Sushil Kumar Lohani led a virtual meeting with state departments and SIRD&PRs to review preparations and outline the rollout strategy.
• The Ministry directed 20 central line ministries to ensure active participation of their state counterparts and frontline staff in the Gram Sabha deliberations.
• States and UTs were told to activate monitoring platforms, appoint and orient nodal officers and facilitators, finalize meeting schedules, and display public information boards by the end of September.
• Gram Sabhas will review earlier plans on eGramSwaraj, the Meri Panchayat App and Panchayat NIRNAY, prioritize works using unspent Finance Commission grants, and align planning with PAI, OSR, SabhaSaar and the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan.
