Overview
- An Inter-Ministerial Central Team led by Pausumi Basu, a Joint Secretary in the Home Ministry, will be in Andhra Pradesh on November 10–11 to assess Cyclone Montha’s impact.
- Seven members drawn from key Union ministries and ISRO’s National Remote Sensing Centre will combine field inspections with satellite inputs.
- Teams will review losses to crops, housing and public infrastructure and will meet affected families to gather ground-level evidence.
- The itinerary assigns one team to Bapatla and another to Krishna, Eluru and East Godavari on Monday, with visits to Prakasam and Konaseema on Tuesday.
- Findings will feed into the state’s formal memorandum for central assistance and guide subsequent relief and rehabilitation measures.
