  • At the higher secondary level, coaching outlays average ₹9,950 in urban areas compared with ₹4,548 in rural areas, underscoring steep cost gaps by location.
  • Course fees are the largest expense at ₹7,111 on average, with urban households paying ₹15,143 versus ₹3,979 in rural areas, and 95% of students cite household members as their primary funding source.
