Centre Sets Oct. 2 Launch for ‘Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas’ People’s Plan Campaign

The drive uses Special Gram Sabhas with digital platforms to steer data-led local plans focused on finishing pending works.

Overview

  • Special Gram Sabhas on October 2 will formally start PPC 2025–26 to begin drafting Panchayat Development Plans for FY 2026–27.
  • To drive convergence and readiness, the Ministry directed 20 line ministries to involve state units in Gram Sabhas, while States and UTs must activate monitoring, appoint nodal officers, train facilitators, finalize schedules and display public information by September end.
  • Gram Sabhas will review earlier GPDPs on eGramSwaraj, Meri Panchayat and Panchayat NIRNAY, prioritizing unfinished works using unspent Central Finance Commission grants.
  • Planning will be guided by the Panchayat Advancement Index and SabhaSaar with emphasis on boosting own-source revenue and tribal empowerment under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyaan.
  • Ministry data show more than 18.13 lakh Panchayat Development Plans uploaded on eGramSwaraj since 2019–20, including over 2.52 lakh for 2025–26.
