Overview
- Odisha received Rs 240.8149 crore for 6,085 Gram Panchayats and 63 Block Panchayats under the latest release.
- Tripura was allotted Rs 29.75 crore as the first instalment for 2025–26 covering 606 Gram Panchayats, 35 Block Panchayats, 8 Zilla Parishads, 587 Village Committees and 40 Block Advisory Committees.
- Mizoram got Rs 14.2761 crore for 827 Village Councils, specified as part of the 2023–24 grant tranche.
- The Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Jal Shakti recommend these XV Finance Commission transfers, which are issued in two instalments each financial year.
- Tied grants remain earmarked for sanitation, ODF maintenance, waste and fecal sludge management, drinking water supply, rainwater harvesting and water recycling, complementing the flexible untied funds.
