• Minority Affairs Secretary Chandra Shekhar Kumar conducted a second state-level review in Mumbai on June 21 after holding a similar meeting in Bihar, urging proactive state participation in UMEED portal rollout.
• Officials were briefed on soon-to-be-published rules that will govern real-time submission, verification and monitoring of Waqf property details through the portal.
• The UMEED mandate requires all registered Waqf properties nationwide to be geo-tagged and uploaded within six months in compliance with the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025.

• Kumar directed the submission of outstanding Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram proposals within a week and praised the Haj Committee for achieving the lowest number of deaths and health incidents among Indian pilgrims this year.
