Overview
- The fourth-phase survey of 45,000 km of rural roads under PMGSY is currently underway and Bihar’s ₹76,000 crore funding is on hold until the state submits its survey report and proposal.
- Jammu and Kashmir was the first Union Territory to send its PMGSY survey report and has received its allocated funds, highlighting the centre’s conditional release policy.
- Bihar’s leaders have urged the centre to clear ₹200 crore in pending MGNREGA arrears that they say are overdue for disbursement.
