• Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a ₹951.27 crore sanction for the Tura Bypass, marking official approval for its construction.
• The bypass will span 29.03 kilometres as a two-lane road with paved shoulders, linking NH-127B near Sanchonggre to NH-217 at Jenggitchakgre.
• It is designed to reroute long-distance vehicles around Tura town to ease traffic congestion and improve road safety for local commuters.
