Overview
- On August 31, the Main Line slow tracks between CSMT and Vidyavihar will be closed from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm with down locals diverted to the fast line up to Vidyavihar and up locals diverted fast to CSMT with halts at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion and Kurla.
- Harbour Line services between Kurla and Vashi will be suspended from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm, cancelling CSMT–Vashi/Belapur/Panvel trains leaving 10:34 am–3:36 pm and up services from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi leaving 10:17 am–3:47 pm.
- Central Railway will run special locals on CSMT–Kurla and Panvel–Vashi–Panvel and will allow Harbour passengers to travel via the Thane–Vashi/Nerul corridor between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- Local reports say trains will skip halts at Chinchpokli and Currey Road during the block, causing inconvenience for Ganeshotsav visitors to nearby mandals.
- Western Railway says there is no daytime block on Sunday, with an overnight jumbo block at Mumbai Central from 12:30 am to 4:00 am and separate FOB staircase dismantling at Vasai Road on the night of August 29.
