Central Railway Starts 15-Day Mumbai Blocks With Detailed Sept 27–30 Disruptions

The closures enable yard remodelling at Karjat and footbridge works at Byculla and Sion.

Overview

  • Limited impact begins Sept 26, with major daytime blocks from Sept 27–30 on the Panvel line near Karjat from 11:20 to 16:20 between Nagnath Cabin and Karjat/Chok sections.
  • Night blocks on Sept 28 will halt UP and DOWN lines between Byculla–Parel (00:30–04:30) and Dadar–Kurla (01:10–04:10), prompting selected local cancellations and short terminations including Konark Express and Howrah–CSMT ending at Dadar.
  • All KarjatKhopoli suburban services are suspended during the block window, with specified local cancellations on Sept 27–29 and adjusted short terminations/originations at Karjat.
  • Long-distance changes include the GwaliorDaund Express diverted via KalyanKarjat on Sept 28 and rescheduling on Sept 30 for Coimbatore–LTT (11014), Chennai–LTT (12164) and Pune–NZM Duronto (12263).
  • Separately on Sept 28, the main line 5th/6th lines between Vidyavihar–Thane will be blocked 08:00–13:30 and Trans-Harbour services between Thane and Vashi/Nerul will be suspended 11:10–16:10, affecting several Mail/Express trains including the SolapurCSMT Vande Bharat.
