Central Railway Shuts Harbour Line Between Wadala Road and Mankhurd for 14.5 Hours for Kurla Track Realignment

The shutdown enables realigning tracks for an elevated Kurla Harbour Line station tied to the 5th and 6th lines.

Overview

  • Services are suspended from 11:05 pm on Saturday, September 13, to 1:35 pm on Sunday, September 14, to execute diversion works between Kurla and Tilak Nagar.
  • All Down Harbour trains leaving CSMT from 10:20 pm Saturday to 1:19 pm Sunday are cancelled, as are Up services from Panvel between 10:07 pm Saturday and 12:56 pm Sunday.
  • Special local trains will operate between Panvel and Mankhurd during the block, while the Wadala RoadMankhurd section remains fully shut.
  • Last trains before the block are PanvelCSMT at 9:52 pm and CSMTPanvel at 10:14 pm Saturday; first after are PanvelCSMT at 1:09 pm and CSMTPanvel at 1:30 pm Sunday.
  • CR officials say the work is necessary for safety and capacity, noting the long-delayed project has recently accelerated and will allow locals to originate and terminate at the new elevated Kurla station.
