Central Railway Sets Nov. 7–9 Night Blocks and Sunday Mega Block for Mumbai Local Services

Officials say the timing enables essential infrastructure work without daytime risk.

Overview

  • Night traffic and power blocks between Kalyan and Badlapur run Nov. 7–9 from 1:50 a.m. to 3:20 a.m., suspending KalyanKarjat suburban services with cancellations and short-terminations including the CSMTAmbernath A1 and AmbernathCSMT A66.
  • During the night blocks, 11020 BhubaneswarCSMT Konark Express and 18519 Visakhapatnam–LTT Express will divert via KarjatPanvel–Diva, with trains that usually halt at Kalyan given alternate halts at Panvel and Thane.
  • Train 12702 HyderabadCSMT Hussainsagar Express will be regulated at Vangani from 3:13 a.m. to 3:20 a.m., and other late-running mail and express services may be diverted as operationally required.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 9, a mega block will divert main line fast services to the slow lines between Matunga and Mulund, with down fast trains from 10:36 to 15:10 and up fast trains from 11:03 to 15:38 running about 15 minutes late.
  • Harbour Line services between Kurla and Vashi will be curtailed from 11:10 to 16:10 on Nov. 9, with special locals between CSMTKurla and PanvelVashi and permitted travel between Thane and Vashi/Nerul from 10:00 to 18:00; separately, the Railways approved passenger holding areas at 76 stations, including five in Mumbai, targeted before the 2026 festive season.
