Overview
- Fifteen unreserved long-distance specials will run December 4–8 on routes including Nagpur–CSMT, Dadar–Nagpur, Kalaburagi–CSMT, Amravati–CSMT and Kolhapur–CSMT, with the Nagpur sector getting the most trains.
- Twelve additional suburban services are slated for the night of December 5–6, operating between Parel–Kalyan and Kurla–Panvel and stopping at all stations to distribute crowds.
- All Mumbai–Nagpur specials use 18 ICF coaches with sleeper, general second class, chair car and brake vans, while the Kalaburagi–CSMT pair (01245/01246) runs with 24 ICF coaches and halts at key stations including Pune and Solapur.
- Central Railway says all coaches on these specials are unreserved, with tickets available at normal fare through the UTS app or station counters.
- Railway authorities report crowd-control and station arrangements are in place, with Western Railway detailing a Dadar plan that includes roughly 700 GRP/RPF personnel, enhanced CCTV coverage and medical support.
