Central Railway Schedules 1.5-Hour Night Blocks Between Kalyan and Badlapur on Nov. 7–9

The shutdown enables foot overbridge installation, with reroutes and passenger advisories in place.

Overview

  • Blocks will run from 1:50 a.m. to 3:20 a.m. on the nights of Nov. 7/8 and Nov. 8/9 on the Up and Down South-East lines between Kalyan and Badlapur.
  • Suburban services between Kalyan and Karjat will be suspended during the window, with specified locals cancelled or revised: the 12:02 a.m. CSMTAmbernath and 10:15 p.m. AmbernathCSMT are cancelled, the 12:12 a.m. CSMTKarjat terminates at Thane, and the 2:30 a.m. KarjatCSMT will start from Thane at 4:00 a.m.
  • Long-distance services will be diverted via KarjatPanvel–Diva, including train 11020 BhubaneswarCSMT Konark Express and 18519 Visakhapatnam–LTT Express, with late-running trains diverted as required.
  • Train 12702 HyderabadCSMT Hussainsagar Express will be regulated at Vangani from 3:13 a.m. to 3:20 a.m., and trains that usually halt at Kalyan will stop at Panvel and Thane as alternate halts.
  • Central Railway says the work supports safety-focused upgrades, and the Railways Ministry has separately approved passenger holding areas at 76 stations, including five in Mumbai, targeted before the 2026 festive season.
