Central Railway Boosts Festival Capacity With 1,126 Special Trains

Reservations open September 14 on IRCTC for the newly listed services.

  • Central Railway added 182 more services on September 12, raising its Puja, Diwali and Chhath tally to 1,126 trains scheduled between late September and December.
  • Detailed timetables were issued for routes linking Mumbai and Pune to high‑demand destinations such as Danapur, Mau, Banaras, Karimnagar, Amravati and Sanganer.
  • Bookings for newly announced trains including 01017, 01123, 01051, 01067, 01411, 01403 and 01405 will open on September 14 at PRS counters and on the IRCTC website.
  • Western Railway will impose a four‑hour night jumbo block between Borivali and Goregaon on the intervening night of September 13/14 with diversions and some cancellations, while daytime suburban services remain unaffected on Sunday.
  • Indian Railways also announced 20 HadapsarDanapur Puja specials and extended LTT–Dhanbad, LTT–Raxaul and LTT–Saharsa services, with reservations for those opening on September 15.
