Mary Lea Forsythe, a centenarian from Sand Springs, Oklahoma, is celebrating her 25th birthday on Leap Day, marking her 100th year.
Forsythe has lived through significant historical events, including the Depression and World War II, and has a passion for technology and staying connected with family.
She was honored by the Osage Hills Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and received a proclamation making Feb. 29 Mary Lea Rogers Forsythe Day.
Forsythe's life has been filled with love, music, and faith, sharing 68 years of marriage with her late husband William and raising two children.
Despite her age, Forsythe remains active, enjoys taking selfies, and has recently published a booklet about spirit and soul.
