Overview
- The Rapid Employment Joint Task Force is stood up to fast-track novel capabilities to deployed forces across CENTCOM’s area of responsibility.
- The team will pull from existing efforts by Army TF 39, Navy TF 59, Air Force TF 99 and SOCOM TF 179 to avoid stove-piped development.
- CENTCOM says the task force will concentrate on three lines of effort focused on capability, software and technology diplomacy.
- The REJTF roster will include specialists in resourcing, evaluations, information systems, data integration, acquisition, integration and logistics.
- The announcement follows the U.S.-Saudi Red Sands counter‑drone exercise, where more than 300 personnel evaluated 20 systems at the Shamal‑2 Range.
