Celine Dion Makes Rare Public Appearance Amid Battle with Stiff-Person Syndrome

Dion, who had been out of the public eye for nearly four years due to her health conditions, attended a hockey game with her sons, appearing in good spirits and giving a morale boost to her hometown team, the Montreal Canadiens.

Celine Dion, who has been battling the rare neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome, made a rare public outing to a hockey game in Las Vegas with her three children, René-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy.
Despite the struggle with her illness which causes severe muscle stiffness and spasms and has greatly impacted her day-to-day life and singing career, Dion seemed in high spirits during the rare public appearance.
The pop star had been largely out of the limelight for nearly four years due to her health issues, which forced her to cancel her Courage World Tour in May 2023.
During the hockey game, Dion visited the Montreal Canadiens' locker room and gave an encouraging pep talk to the players; her sons and her were photographed with a couple of players, showing their support for her hometown team.
Despite the lack of cure for stiff-person syndrome, Dion, who made her illness public in December 2022, has expressed optimism about her recovery, assuring her fans that she is not giving up and looking forward to returning to the stage.
