• Since January 2025 Ceconomy has converted 14 former Saturn outlets into Media Markt locations, raising the latter’s German network to over 300 stores.
• The count of Saturn stores in Germany has declined from about 150 to 87 by autumn 2024 as part of the company’s consolidation drive.
• Starting June 11 the mySaturn and myMediaMarkt bonus schemes will merge, letting shoppers earn and redeem points across both banners.
• Despite the rebrand push, Ceconomy insists that Saturn remains a core element of its retail strategy even as customer distinctions between the brands fade.
• Across Europe the Saturn name has largely vanished in favour of Media Markt, with Ceconomy operating more than 1,000 outlets in 11 countries under the red-and-white banner.
