Cease-fire Efforts Intensify in Israel-Hamas War Amid Ongoing Violence
As negotiations continue, Israel's proposed two-month cease-fire is rejected by Hamas, while the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens.
- Efforts to reach a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas are intensifying, with Egypt, the U.S., and Qatar actively pursuing ways to halt the war that has raged for over 110 days. However, a formula acceptable to both sides remains elusive.
- Israeli forces are advancing through the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, causing significant civilian casualties and displacement. A tank shelling hit a United Nations training center in the city, killing at least nine people and wounding 75.
