CDMX Transit Updates: Metrobús Line 2 Extends Weekend Hours as Metro Line 1 Sets Early Closures for Tests

Officials are pairing late-night service on the Tacubaya–Tepalcates corridor with Line 1 testing to ready the network for a fuller reopening next month.

Overview

  • Starting October 17, Metrobús Line 2 will run until 1:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with last departures at 1:00 from Tacubaya and Tepalcates.
  • The extended-hours fare stays at 6 pesos and accepts the Integrated Mobility card, contactless bank cards, and NFC devices.
  • Metro Line 1 will end service at 22:00 on October 18–19 and 25–26 to conduct control and telecommunications trials for the ChapultepecObservatorio segment.
  • On those dates, the last Line 1 trains leave Pantitlán and Chapultepec at 21:30, and RTP buses will operate PantitlánChapultepec from 22:00 to midnight.
  • Earlier issues this week—an object on Line 2 tracks and a temporary closure at Tepito on Line B—were resolved, with normal operation reported on October 15.
