  • Semovi reaffirmed the one‑time permanent license is available only through December 31, 2025 and urged applicants not to delay.
  • Selected modules operate on weekends, including Saturday service at multiple SEMOVI sites and extended weekend hours at the Macromódulo in Ciudad Deportiva/Granjas México, plus Tesorería Express locations on Sundays.
  • Drivers with a valid Type A license can convert without testing, while first‑time or lapsed applicants must pass a theoretical exam (20 questions, at least 16 correct) and applicants roughly 60–65 and older face additional psychophysical evaluations; some older applicants must complete a practical test.
  • The issuance fee is 1,500 pesos and the replacement cost for loss or theft is 1,099 pesos, according to capital authorities.
  • Appointments must be scheduled via Llave CDMX, Locatel or the official WhatsApp, and the procedure is processed at SEMOVI modules, tesorerías and express points for private‑vehicle drivers only.
