CDMX Issues Yellow and Orange Rain Alerts for Nine Boroughs as Flooding Slows Traffic

City crews step up drain cleaning under the Tlaloque protocol to limit flooding during the ongoing downpours.

  • SGIRPC activated Orange alerts for Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Iztapalapa, Magdalena Contreras and Xochimilco, with forecast rainfall of 30–49 mm and possible hail.

  • Emergency teams attended an inundation on Calle Agua in Jardines del Pedregal, with suggested route alternatives including Avenida Revolución and Molinos.
  • Segiagua continued preventive desazolve and cleaning of hydraulic infrastructure under Operativo Tlaloque, while officials urged residents to clear drains, avoid crossing flowing water and drive with caution.
