CDMX and Edomex Set First-Half 2026 Emissions Verification Calendars as Edomex Grants Jan. 15 Extension for 9–0 Plates

Fees remain at current UMA-based rates until INEGI posts the 2026 value.

Overview

  • Mexico City’s Sedema confirmed the Jan–Jun 2026 schedule by sticker color and plate end: yellow 5–6 (Jan–Feb), pink 7–8 (Feb–Mar), red 3–4 (Mar–Apr), green 1–2 (Apr–May), blue 9–0 (May–Jun).
  • Edomex published its Jan–Jun calendar and approved a one-time grace period for plate endings 9 or 0 to complete the pending second‑semester 2025 verification by January 15, 2026.
  • Edomex said the extension responds to late‑2025 saturation driven by increased vehicle regularization, Hoy No Circula timing and hologram availability problems.
  • Drivers who fail to verify by the extended Edomex deadline will be sanctioned under the State of Mexico’s Biodiversity Code, including monetary fines.
  • Verification is mandatory for vehicles registered locally, available on request to out‑of‑state owners, and exemptions continue for Doble Cero, Cero, electric and hybrid vehicles while their holograms are valid.
