CD Projekt Red Shifts Focus to The Witcher 4 Development

CD Projekt Red, the developer of The Witcher series, has shifted its focus to the development of The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris, with almost half of its staff now working on the project.
The company's latest earnings report indicates that the game has moved into full development, with the team expected to grow to over 400 developers by mid-2024.
Polaris was announced in March 2022 and will be among the first CD Projekt games to run on Unreal Engine 5.
Polaris is part of a new Witcher trilogy that will release over a six-year period, with other games including Project Sirius and Project Canis Majoris.
The shift in focus comes as major support for Cyberpunk 2077 wraps up, following the release of Phantom Liberty in September and the announcement of the Ultimate Edition.
