Overview
- Patch 5.01, which shipped Thursday, October 8, installs as console build 5.000.400 and delivers a wide set of fixes across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Console players can now toggle bloom and adjust light shafts and depth of field in the graphics menu, and the update also fixes a PS5 setting reset that returned custom graphics choices to defaults.
- The update fixes a console dialogue audio bug that made voiceover much quieter after opening pause-menu tabs and resolves many gameplay and UI problems such as auto-apply oils, errant boat movement, ladder animations, delayed dodging, and stamina drain.
- PC and GPU issues addressed include preventing unsupported graphics options from being enabled, stopping the game from selecting the wrong GPU, and preventing DLSS/XeSS from being applied on incompatible cards.
- Patch downloads were reported at roughly 5.5 GB on consoles and 8.5 GB on PC, the Vizima chest reward fix may duplicate some items, and CD Projekt RED says it will keep issuing updates ahead of the Songs of the Past DLC and efforts to reach closer Switch 2 parity.
