• Video published on October 16 shows a woman run up behind 36-year-old Wan Lai near Little Bourke and Spencer streets on October 2 before stabbing her in the chest and fleeing.
• Bystanders and police administered first aid at the scene, and Lai was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with a punctured lung consistent with a hemopneumothorax.
• Police say the injuries were non-life-threatening, and it is understood she spent about three days in hospital.
• A 32-year-old Melbourne woman was arrested after an extensive search, a knife was seized, and she was charged with intentionally causing injury and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
