• British Transport Police published footage showing Lance Hughes trying to snatch a bag and punching a man in his 60s at Chester Road Railway Station in August 2024.
• The video captures Hughes placing a coat over his head in a failed attempt to hide from cameras before dragging the victim toward the stairs and striking him.
• Officers established he had recently left prison and was on probation, then waited outside a probation appointment to arrest him after he tried to flee.
