Overview

• On August 1 near Meenakshipuram junction in Srivilliputhur a one-year-old fell from a private bus after the driver applied sudden brakes and suffered minor injuries.
• Madhankumar, the child’s uncle, sustained facial injuries and a two-year-old cousin in his care was bruised inside the bus during the abrupt stop.
• The CCTV footage clearly captures the toddler slipping from her mother’s arms and tumbling through the bus’s open front steps onto the road.
• Both injured children are under medical observation at a nearby hospital and are reported to be recovering from only minor injuries.
• Authorities have not confirmed any action against the bus driver nor launched an official inquiry into the incident.
