• The alert covers Tucson 5m, 6m and 8m circulating pumps manufactured between 2017 and 2024.
• Investigators found the mains cable can be connected in reverse, potentially linking the live pin to earth and creating a serious electrocution hazard.
• Consumers may continue to use heating systems but must not handle, disconnect, adjust or attempt maintenance on affected pumps.
• Tucson Pumps is offering free replacements carried out by approved, qualified technicians, and retailers have been told to stop sales as tradespeople are warned to avoid the electrical connections.
• Affected units can be identified by serial numbers starting S/N A, B, C, D44 or earlier, or 2017–2020, with checks available on CCPC.ie, Tucson’s tool, or by calling 01 842 6255.
